    If the numbers on the side mean anything this crate is from 1961. It's pretty heavy duty woth the metal framework, the sides are plastic.
    I also thought it was neat that it's 'lived' in Houston it's whole life.

      I have one just like that on E-bay right now except it is Dallas TX. Yours is the only other one I have seen. My wife wasn't impressed because her dad was a milk route driver for Blue Bunny when she was growing up in Iowa and she remembered this type of crate from her childhood, so you are probably right on the date. The sides are actually fiberglass.
