This is a gas can I picked up this summer when I took my 9 year old for a fun day of picking at the Hillsville Va labor day sale. If you have never been to this it is worth your trip, thousands of vendors show up and what a blast it is. Jacob is in the picture to the far right. He helped me with the cleanup and prep of this.
That is a fantastic gas can and you did a great job with the restoration. About what year is it? BTW, Jacob is adorable!
Thanks lostinspace, I dont have much info on this can. I hate to say but I actually have put the can into service. I got an old used riding mower last spring and needed a larger can than I had, this sucker is heavy when full of gas though! ...I am really happy with how the restore turned out. It is a "safety" type can, you have to pull the trigger to get gas to flow, that way it wont spill if tipped over. The brass plate on it is underwriters lab
thanks EJW
i just bought one of these to restore too. im new to restoring stuff so any tips would be great.
