My father-in-law gave us this chair. He thought it was an Eastlake style but from what I've read I don't think so. Anyone recognize the style?

That is very nice!
I have that very chair. I have found a Chippendale very close to it but can't find anything of substance about the chair. Have you found out anything new in the 7 years
Love the back carving but it is not Eastlake nor is it Chippendale. Nowhere near either !! The back is carved Renaissance Revival but there is a mixture of styles that the maker used which is why it does not match the back. Very nice, however.
