This item has been handed down by Irma Eleanor Turner Laws and includes the note, "This is copper-luster. It belonged to my great-grandmother on my mother's side. It was from Kentucky." I'm guessing you would call it art pottery.
Irma's mother was Mary Jennie Eley 1869-1939
Mary's father was Jacob Eley 1839-1920 whose wife was (grandmother) Hannah C White 1845-1877
Jacob's father was Michael Eley 1812-1892 and mother (Irma's great grandmother) was Rachel McDaniel 1812-1890
Hannah's parents were James T White 1826-1870 and (grandmother) Sarah Heath 1824-1870 I don't know beyond that on this side.
Can anyone tell me about this item? Thanks, Sandy White

wow, thats quite a family history! sorry I don't know much about the pot, but I like the looks and history of the pot! Is it missing a handle?
    2. whitesl2000, 13 years ago
Yes, the handle is missing and it is also chipped. But I'm keeping it for the history. Thanks, Sandy
