Shown is a grouping of North Vietnamese Army equipment, brought back to the states in 1970. The vet, named Kenneth, was with Co. A, 577th Engineering Battalion, Combat Construction, 18th Engineering Brigade, 35th Group. He served from January 3rd, 1970, until November 9th, 1970, when he was wounded and medivaced out of Nam. He got the belt with the pouches in the Central Highlands, outside Dalat, by the Dha Niehm River, and got the helmet in trade for several packs of cigarettes. The belt is the canvas type, with a brass belt buckle, engraved with a communist star. The leather ammo pouch stored ammo for an SKS Russian rifle. The small canvas pouch was used to store bandages.
