    This a set of military buttons, made into a ladies broach. I'm pretty sure they are circa WW1. My grandfather served with the Welsh (Welch) Regiment, but they don't look like they are the Prince of Wales feathers.
    Anyone ?

      These are known as general service buttons, featuring the royal arms and "King's Crown" that was used after Queen Victoria and before Queen Elizabeth II.

      From the 1870s until some time after WWI, in most regiments the enlisted men wore general service buttons while the officers wore regimental buttons.

      If your grandfather was in the "other ranks" he could well have worn such buttons.
