This is a Coro "Des Pat Pend" linked necklace that my grandmother recently gave to me. i am trying to figure out if it is sterling silver or not, its heavy in weight, but how else can i tell?

If you look at the Coro signature it should say Coro Sterling, if it does not its not Silver. Or look for a .925 stamp.
