I pulled this out of my grandmothers basement and have tried many times to locate information about it online with no success. It is made of aluminum and the handles are plastic. The handle on the end has "MFGD By South Bend Automatic" printed on it and the handle in the middle says," Reg Trade-Mark Redi-Rod U.S. Pat. Pend." But other than that I cant find any markings. It has four sections and each one extends. When this fishing rod is collapsed it measures forty one inches and when fully extended it measures fourteen feet. The reel has printed on it " True Blue Level Winding NO. 1956 Made In U.S.A." Any help would be much appreciated because I have not been able to find a fishing rod that is anything like this one and would like to know anything about it. I have found a little info about the reel but cannot figure out what year it was made and thought this might help in dating the rod.

Hi, we have the same rod. Found it in the attic of the garage after my husband passed away. Our reel is different. It is dated 1958 and is called Shakespear Triumph. Model GE. We are looking for info also.
