This is my Great Grandfather, Warick Slavin, in the late 1800's or early 1900's. He had loaned his horse to his Brother in law, and when he went to retrieve the horse, his Brother in law had decided to keep it. In the argument,my Great Grandfather was shot, paralyzing him. He spent many years sitting in this wheelchair whittling. One of the peach seeds he carved I had posted earlier. This photo was taken by a couple of traveling photographers in Greenbank West Virgina.
What a story!
