I have an unopened bottle of Forbidden Fruit, tax tariff label still intact. I acquired this item from my mom's boss, who gave us quite a bit of other bottles, although none as rare as this. Anyone know how much this could be worth today?

This is interesting. I too recently acquired an unopened bottle of Forbidden Fruit and have been trying to dig up some information about it. I know it's a defunct pommelo-based liqueur, that I believe ceased production in the 1950s, but I don't know for instance when it switched from 64 proof to 80 proof (or likely the other way around). The bottle I found is 80 proof and still has the original booklet attached (unfortunately not dated). Still a wonderful find. You can see a photo of my bottle here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/aphonik/7067565151/in/photostream

I have just the empty bottle with a brass colored bottle decor and a twist on cap with a crown on top. Do these have any value. I think it might be 30 to 50 years old.
