this is 'Mt. Vernon' by Imperial Glass; the pattern #699, ca. 1912
ok great! you have been amazing! I will check ebay so see if they sell well or not. its very pretty but I have no need for it. thanks so much for all of your info!
This pattern had many names over the course of its life. It was designed by Ebeling, who designed Fostoria's famous American pattern (introduced 1915). This was first introduced as Prism Crystal in the early 1920s. Imperial also called it Triangle. It was called Mount Vernon during the 1930s, but in 1940 the name was changed to Washington due to a conflict with the Cambridge Glass Co, who also used the name Mount Vernon for a line of theirs before Imperial called theirs by the same name.
Most collectors only know it as Mount Vernon.
