This thermometer was in the basement of my house when I bought the house in 1982. It's diameter is 6 inches. Anyone know anything about it?

Love it ! I don't know much about it but I was a para medic and this would have been given to people so they would call the right ambulance service as an advertising piece . It is wonderful !! we just just gave out magnets with phone number :-) It is old by phone number so don't call them if you need one :-) Thanks for sharing it is first private ambulance thermometer I ever saw . Could not say for sure if it is antique or a repro design for thermometer as I have seen repro's done like this . Hopefully someone with expertise in it will solve for you :-)
Here is one in a museum like yours but again I am not sure if yours is original or repro a expert will know

Thanks a lot Manikin for finding that and sharing it with me. I feel confident that it is original because the previous owner of the house it was found in was a nurse who was probably in her 80's (in 1982 when I bought the house) and the house is in New York...but I'm no expert. Thanks again!!!
Thanks to all who loved and liked this, and again to Manikin. I'm glad I found this site a couple days ago and will be posting again. There are other things that were left in my house that are still in the attic and I've wanted to know more about them.
i would need to see a couple of other pics side and back view to tell 100% if it is original but iam 99% sure this is an original thermometer dating to the mid 30s. I can say this because i have over 365 antique therms. But not this one. Really like it great find.
I also have to say Manikin fantastic E research if the paramedic career fails i might have a research job for you!!!!
I worked for Scully Waltom back in the 60's in Chicago. They were a class A company!!
