This is an an antique Smoking Stand/Humidor that I believe is from the 1930's. I read somewhere online that small furniture items such as this we're considered a novelty and made by furniture manufacturers during the depression so that dealers would have something to sell in their showrooms. Most folks during the depression couldn't afford to buy new furniture, so items like this smoking stand sorta filled the gap in the market........ Please correct me if I'm way off here.
Also, the tobacco storage compartment is supposedly copper lined, but I'm not positive that it's truly copper.
I have no idea where this was made or by what company, but it's a nice little piece.
If someone could shed a little more light on this, please do!
SOLD on 12/3/10 for $75.00.
I love the old humidors, have a few myself!
NICE
