      One other thing to add: it's an original, I think, rather than a print. A close up of the piece will show any prints marks. But from what I can see with these photos it looks to be an original.

      Thanks very much. In looking closer at it, it does appear to be an original. Is the red square mark at the corner, the artist's signature? How can you tell who that artist is? Thanks again for your help.

      It is purported to be a fan painting by Zheng Xie (Zheng Banqiao, 1693-1765) but I am almost certain that it is NOT by him. A lot of people like to fake him, but unless he was in a really bad mood that day these are NOT his bamboo leaves or calligraphy, which he had painted thousands in his lifetime.
