      Thanks. I can't take any credit for the image, but I thought it was worth sharing. This building is still standing but not in the best state of repair. Hopefully someone will save it.

      Such a great photo ! I guess in NC they smoked and drank a lot :-) all ads are for cigs and alcohol no food at this store . Love it !

      It's right in the heart of the world's tobacco capital at that time. Maybe they sold peanuts for the Coke. I don't know about this store, but some you could walk in and get yourself some nice non-taxable liquor.

      The visible Texaco gas pump is great too ! I think you could double post this into 2 categories including the Texaco pump :-) I would love to have gone to this store and sit on porch :-)

      Yep, seen it many times, it's all over ebay. You can buy a copy of this image for round $15. Great advertising image

      Love it, What town is this in? I lived in Ashboro in Randolph Cty. for 4 years, I've seen copies of this on ebay also, Manikin: see the previsible pump on the porch?

      Wow,before I read the discription ,I thought that reminded me of old time North Carolina.There were places like that near Durham NC twent five years ago. Most of it is all built up now.
