      it is actually a punch bowl stand and not a vase. The pattern is 'Fashion' and made by Imperial Glass.

      Originally called "402 1/2" by Imperial (the '1/2' designation indicating a slightly lesser quality glass according to Imperial's standards). It was made in a host of shapes in clear glass, not as many found in iridescent colors.

      These punch bowl bases were designed to do double duty as vases or comports when not in use as punch stands. Some factories even sold them as such, but I don't believe this is the case for Imperial's 402 1/2.

      Thanks everyone, the link was a big help. I knew it was Depression Glass but was unable to find out exactly what kind, I have for others of this kind in iridescent colors and have been unable to find any. There is a bowl looks like this but I had no idea, it and the bowl went together.

      Its not DepressionGlass, its Carnival Glass.

      So many people think these are vases, but as the first poster mentioned they are bases.
