I've owned this Coke machine for about 15 years. It runs great. I've just started doing some research and from what I've found on the internet it may be from the mid 50s. Is there any way to tell for sure how old it is? Also is there anything special about this machine since it has two metal Coca-Cola signs vs a painted logo? When I was looking online at pictures of other machines, they all seem to have the painted front. Thanks!
Wait for TGBWC to comment, but im pretty sure this machine was restored and the button signs were added, they were not originally on there.
Thanks for your comments. I'll take a look and see if I can take them off and check to see if there's anything underneath them.
if those are original 1950's buttons their worth more than the cooler alone. if you are able to take them off the cooler take a close up picture of them and post it. how big are they, they look like the 1950's 16" and 24" buttons.
How does this look http://soda-machines.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=374&Itemid=14
Not sure how to post more pictures. Just remove a couple from my original post? The buttons are 16" and 12" I'll try and add the pictures to the original post. Dimensions of the machine are 34" x 20" (not including the coin mechanism).
Hi Trevor...
I posted some pictures of the 16" sign (front & back) as a new "show and tell" item. The 12" sign is the same, except it does not have the small text "AM 12 2" under the "In Bottles" text.
Thanks, Alan
Tommy, thanks for your comments. Following your URL, I think mine is the 55, based on the dimensions
Anyone have any idea what this machine would be worth, given the signs may not be original to the machine and there's no logo on the front or side under where the signs are placed?
