what can anyone tell me about my clock?
    Fee Des Eaux
    Par Guillemin (sculpter)
Believe it to be a french clock from late 1800's
Was given to me from German grandmother.
Clock workings have Paris and I believe marking like Ma Daille Dor and looks like f marte?
Works very well and have written instructions how to operate from my grandmother.
Any idea on value? Should it be insured?

I agree. This is truly a beautiful "Water Fairy" clock which pretty much speaks for itself! French clocks can be so very difficult to get specific background information on since the movements and works-of-art cases were manufactured in a cottage industry. Also, many records have been lost due to the World Wars. Best of luck and enjoy!

"Par Guillemin" on the plaque is french for "By Guillemin" in reference to Emile Guillemin, (the signature on the back of the statue). He lived from 1841 to 1907. He started exhibiting in 1870 and won an award in 1897 which could support your estimated time frame if the clock was made while he was alive and achieving notoriety. Can you post a photo of the movement?
