Hello. I am not a motorcycle expert, but have this old photo of an ancestor's bakery delivery bike. I would like to get an idea of the date of the photo if anyone is able to identify the age of the bike. I appreciate any input.

The model of this one is a Model J or JD Harley -Davidson. these are from 1915-28

BTW the model J was 61 cubic inch and the JD was the first 74 cubic inch.

The more I look at it, I'll guess mid 1920's

Wow, much older than I had guessed. Thank you so much for this information.

I agree with kerry10456, it's a Jd 74 cu.in. But it has the dual bullet lights of the 1929 model. This was the last year of the big F-head twins and Harley replaced them with side-valve machines in 1930. They were high performance machines in their day and could outrun almost anything on the road. That's why the police departments used them. Fast delivery bike! Maybe he was haulin' somethin' else besides bread.

The photo itself may offer some clues. Can you post a view of the entire image, both front and back?
