... can you tell me anything about them?

I 'd like to know when they were made, and anything else you can share. The band does not seem to match the Elgin at all. Could I find something more appropriate?

My daughter would like to wear the Tissot, but the band is too small. Would it be possible to replace with a similar one that fits?

The Elgin is a Transistion style watch, early wristwatch that is made from a pocket watch , if you carefully open the back, there's a serial # on the movement, this # can be use to date it by me or several others on this site.

The sytling and general appearence tells me teen to early 30's.

Wow... I guess that means it's more likely it was Great Grandmother Caroline's Elgin, and my Grandmother Genevieve's Tissot, both passed to my mother.

I will get help opening the Elgin.
