    (123 items)

This is an original Trifari brooch that I found in my grandmother's jewelery box after she passed. I think it is sterling and it might be marked. In all caps it is marked TRIFARI. I was wondering if anyone knew how old this piece was or maybe its value. Could anyone please help me out with some more information about these pieces; age, period, maker, country of origin, value, name of items, process used to make them, etc?

Thanks a bunch, all input is appreciated.

Trifari is an American company, founded in 1925 by Gustavo Trifari, Leo Krussman & Carl Fishel. Early pieces are marked KTF. Your brooch was likely made between 1942-47 it was during this period Trifari used Silver because of the war rationing. In your 2nd pic I see the Trifari but it looks like it is also signed Sterling. Collectors love the "war years" and can sometimes pay big money. The pieces that bring the most are jelly bellies & colored rhinestone pieces. Your piece is very pretty but simple and you should hold onto it. I could give you a value but it would not compare to sentimental value which is always priceless. Hope this helps a little.
