This red car is utmostly rare, and could it be the only one to exist? The wheels are woods, and the crank works two. Original beautiful colors!!! It’s long and sleek! Therefore, a sport car? Marked Made in Canada! But by which toy name? Information needed... please: ontart@yahoo.ca
Made by Chime Toy Products out of Toronto. Very cool toy, I love the streamline designs of this era! These do not come up too often, but I have seen a few others. Not a well known maker so the value isn't too outrageous. All and all a good piece, I'd still love to have one if I had the chance.
Hope this helped,
-Todd
Oh, you provide such great news! Merci, that's Thanks Todd.
Is that Chime co still exists?
Who were the owners?
Any history?
You have a Chime, may I ask?
Any books on Chime?
Again, thanks and look forward to any other info any time Todd!
You are welcome!
As far as I know, they seem to be a fairly small and limited manufacturer. I can't find anything about them, the only things I know I've read off the boxes that these toys come in. The early 30's was a bad time to be a toy maker, so it isn't impossible that they discontinued in that area of business shortly after making these.
I don't have anything made by Chime and the books I have don't seem to mention them. I'm just as curious about their history, it would be neat to find out more.
Thanks again Todd.
You are right, as I can not find anyhtng yet neither.
If you do, please let me know; likewise I will inform you.
As I plan to make a book and publish it, do you have any old Canada made toys or info?
Thanks Scott.
Is there an URL, special one?
Thanks Scott!
I just had to ask if you happened to find an URL which tells about this or the co?
Ever heard about a crash car?
