The story behind this hutch is that it belonged to the founder of Rock Springs, Wy. He was said to belong to the mob and controlled most of this western territory. In time it ended up in the Butch Cassidy Bar and remained on display there until it changed ownership a few years ago. The top ornate section which is seven feet tall and the pillars are hand carved and I have been told it is made of europian walnut. It has three glass shelves in the upper half, the lower half has two wooden shelves and two drawers. The doors of both and the drawers all lock. The upper and lower halves align with two pegs. There are a few letters on the pieces of wood that support the shelves and appear to be english origin. That is all the information I have, any help to further identify this piece would be greatly appreciated.
