I have this lamp from my grandparents.... story is they brought it over from overseas. I was told Japan, but from the online info. I have found, it seems from from China.
I would love to know any info. about it as well as a value... I have seen some on Ebay for over $500
It has to be from around the 40's maybe if the stories are correct....
It lights up in the middle of the piercings and as a lamp.
I just smashed the silk shade that was with it, so it doesn't have one anymore.
it's about 17" from the wood base to the top of the white, and about 28" to the top of the harp.

I have two just like these but cylinder instead. Have you found any information out on them. I believe they were my great grandmothers which would make them at least, well, I am 56 yrs old so they are old. Let me know.. thank you, katy

Hi These are from Thailand we had 2 when we lived there, they had Rice Paper inside the bottom and a little light was in there also. So you could use either light from to top bulb and the bottom light.
