My grandmother found this in the bottom an old trunk while cleaning out her mothers house years ago with original (?) box. Stamped 18CT, maker on box seems to have been located in England, but no standard hallmarks appear on it. Beautifully made pin; bezel set rose cut sapphire and two rose cut diamonds in a tube bezel setting. Yellow gold base with white gold accents beside the sapphire. Assumed to have been obtained as payment for services sometime during the war, guessing it's age to be somewhere between 1910 and 1920? Any info/comments on maker or piece welcome!
Also a beautyful piece. I guess from the Art Deco period.
Thank you!
Thanks Phil David!! It's actually my grandma's, I was trying to find out more about where it came from for her... but she has lots of lovely grandchildren so it will be just fine in who evers hands it ends up in : )
(but I think I'd appreciate it's antiquity and craftsmanship the most out of all!)
It's beautiful.
thank you Dr. Fluffy!
