    this "table" is slighty below knee height, both flat surfaces are red leather, gold trim. the back has a curve...almost a triangle shape, does anyone have any idea what this was used for? or the era its from?

      There are openings on both sides on the back of this. Ar those openings about the size to stack up shoe boxes? This reminds me of a salesman's shoe fitting chair that might be found in a shoe store years ago.
