I love Watches... I own 15 myself but I've always wanted a pocket Watch...
Would you mind giving me some of your advice on which one I should get.. I love Silver (chains, Rings,) and I'm looking to find a match for me but I have no idea where to start...
Peace....
I do know one thing about pocket watches you already know.. During the 17th century when the railroads were the major transportation of the day. Timing was everyting. So unable to keep correct time the United States created the best pocket watches in the World. Beating out even the swiss. The American Watch Company (afterwards known as Waltham)
compelled the to raise the quality of their products and establish themselves as the leaders in precision and accuracy instead.
Michael, you are off by about 2 centuries. RR was a major element of tranportation and movement of goods beginning in the 19th century (1800s).

This Much I know for sure....
Lessor is the legal term applied to the owner of the property being leased, so my guess it belonged to a landlord or something..
Montre de Precision is engraved below Lessor, meaning A precision watch. It's all French. It appears to be a watch manufacured in Canada in the early 1900's. Now owned by Omega....I should of said something earlier but I was waiting for someone else..
scottvez....I know,, I noticed after I submitted and you can't fix.. grrrrrr
hello everyone, thanks for the help. Today i noticed something else. Inside the cover there is a number which is v 0.800 and it has another number at the bottom which is 280, also it has a sign but i cannot identify the sign although it seems like a crown and inside there is also written ARFS. That's all the info I have. Thanks again
