I have an Eegee doll head made ??of latex or rubber on a piece of wood (body is badly damaged). I would like to know what decade the doll was made.

Your doll is from 1950's . She likely had a rubber body and a vinyl head , The rubber melted or dried out . Which leaves her without any real value , but you could make her a body of cloth if you love her :-)

In 1917 Mr & Mrs E. Goldberger started the Eegee Doll Company.
Their first dolls were marked EG Gold Doll Co., E Goldberger.
In 1923 the Eegee trademark was used for the first time.
The Company produced many types and sizes of dolls.
They were in business in Brooklyn, N.Y. until the 1970's

Actually, Goldberger Doll is still very much alive and kicking. I've designed dolls for Goldberger, and enjoy seeing their products on retail toy shelves today, knowing that they've proudly been in business for nearly 100 years.
Oh how fun for you to design dolls awesome Stef ! Would love to see some of them :-) Yes I knew they were in business but not I thought sold to different owner when they left the brookyln location ? Didn't eegee sell to goldberger in 70's ?
No, they are still the same company. Eegee is the initials (E.G.) of Eugene Goldberger. The company is still in the same family, being run by Eugene's granddaughter Shelley Holtzman. It's till a family owned business.
