    One of my most recent finds from a yard sale.I purchased it because I liked the frame.I was told that it is a Federal mahogny frame, maybe someone can tell me if it is a Federal mahogny frame.

      Nope-- much later, it is Victorian. This style looks good with Eastlake style furniture.

      The frame probably dates from the 1870s-90s and was made the same time as the photograph.
