A kangaroo near a waterfall, gum tree and grevillea lanigera.
A watercolour signed M.Davidson. M. Davidson was the signature of twin sisters Margaret (Peggy) & Marion (Mary) who were born in 1926.
The sisters were trained in Holland and did illustrations for :
Breed standards / R.A.S. Kennel Control,
and
Barking: The Sound of a Language Author: Harold R Spira
and
Australian Weeds by Gai Stern.
Marion and Margaret Davidson were born in Indonesia. Their father was Alister Thomas Davidson (1889-1966), a long-term and senior officer of the famous Burns Philp Company. Their mother Elizabeth Susanna Voss was Dutch.
Marion and Margaret Davidson were also photographers.
