I found him in the attic when I was cleaning it out. He was in a box with lots of tissue paper. He has been sitting in my cabinet now for about 7 years. Never found out any thing about him. I would love to know what kind of bear he is.
He has glass eyes, mohair. His head moves from side to side by the medal rod coming out of his back. His arms and legs are movable to. His stuffing looks like hay. He is in really good shape for his age.
I would love to hear what you think about him.

      Could it be a Steiff?

      We sold many similar ones!

Because of tail I would say he is a Schuco Yes-No Teddy Bear . Very nice ! The tail is what makes him turn his head ,

here is one for sale as a comparison . You don't mention size that is important . This one is priced a bit to high for sure but I wanted you to see one . Don't go buy this sellers asking price but they do have a nice value !!

Manikin, Thank you so much! After all this time he sat in my cabinet, not knowing what he was. Now the mystery is solved. He does look just like the one for sale on Ebay on the link you posted. My bear is 22 inches. But I did notice that his tail does not have a mohair cover.

You are so lucky! I have many Schuco bears from the 1920's to the 1950's and you have a gorgeous Yes/No Teddy there. I will try to post a photo of some of mine to share.
