Came out of the grandparent's house around the same time as we were finding the great grandfather's stuff. It's a little gun, so much so that me and my father thought it was a toy when we first pulled it out of the assorted junk and papers. Roughly 3 1/2" barrel, double action, with neat folding trigger.
You can see the remains of the Belgian liege stamp on the cylinder in the last picture. There is another small stamp close to the hammer, but the pictures make it look more like the ware than anything put there on purpose.
It's missing the ejector pin and really isn't in the best mechanical shape, but still a neat old piece, not to mention my first and only firearm.
Thanks for the love everyone!
So it's not a toy?
Make Rambow?
Nope, not a toy. The ammo for these is so rare that it might as well be a toy (or a paper weight), but it still has the potential to be a deadly weapon.
You are right!
Maybe you have to make yourself the amo?
Benking, pinfire ammo is different because the primer is struck by a pin in the side of the case instead of having the primer at the bottom of the case. It is possible to make them if you have the right tools, but you couldn't do it with regular reloading tools.
