I found this today and I think it may be an error coin. It is a 1995 quarter. It looks like there is rust on the face. It also has a second face, almost like a mirror image. I am interested in error coins as well as other coins. If anyone can tell me how to get these types of coins checked I sure would appreciate it.

Numismatist Ken Potter is undoubtably one of the experts on error coins. He frequently writes articles for Numismatic News that describes newly discovered errors. His website is at http://koinpro.tripod.com/.

I have no idea whether or not your coin is an error, but it does remind me of that piece of toast from a few years back that had the image of Christ on it. Are you sure that second image is not one of Christ? If I recall, that piece of toast sold for thousands on eBay.

      Thanks for the smile!

Looks like environmental or acid damage.
