Found this adorable cast iron train nightlight at a thrift store. It was made by Robert L. "Bob" Miley. who passed away at the age of 90 in 2007. Many of his works are on display at the Marion Museum, in Ohio. which include: the first gasoline powered model airplane in Marion County, a totally handcrafted working carousel and two working steam locomotives. If anyone had the pleasure of knowing Mr. Miley, or know anything more about the train, I would love to hear your stories.

Great repurpose of an old insulator. Could it be cast aluminum instead of cast iron?
