I need some help identifying an item...

I was at a local antique mall today and found an interesting plate detailing the process for drilling for oil & gas. I work in oil & gas so it immediately appealed to me. Then, when I flipped it over and saw the Coca-Cola Logo I figured it was a must buy...

I have spent several hours online and I cannot find anything about the plate. I think the logo is the 1958-1960 “Fish Tale” logo, but again I am not a coke expert or collector. It measures about 9”x7” is somewhat transparent and although it doesn’t feel “cheep” it is not substantial either. If you notice the 'back' picture, it shows the logo and you can see the front through the glass.

I was wondering if anyone out there may know something about it? I do not know if it is a real or fake piece. The fact that I don’t see it anywhere on the web makes me think it is fake. I have attached an image of the front and back of the plate.

Thanks for your time and assistance with this!

Your platter certainly seems to be a tie in piece to one of the many educational / promotional efforts by Coca-Cola aimed toward school children during the 40's-50's-60's. There were series of brochures with oil and gas focus, this may have been a companion piece (nice illustration of fossil fuel processing). You're right, the fish tail logo should narrow it down to late 50's early 60's. It's a cool piece, displays nicely. I have not noticed one like it before.

      I looked quick in Pet's 9 and 12 but didn't see it.

The poker version dish went for $60, so that's a good starting point when estimating value of your gas and oil version.
