It is worth $300.00 mint
Dave, can you tell me more about it? Origin, history etc.? How did ;you arrive at that value? Is it in a book?
Thanks
Darrell
This was a one time printing a limited number and were given out at an inner- league game between the Rangers and the Astros. I have 3 of these and have been offered more than $300.00 but I will not sell.
I am a huge Nolan Ryan fan. You are sooo lucky. I have never seen one of these, nor have I looked for one since I didn't know of their existance. Treasure it.
I personally have one of these poster/prints and I have to say it is a very cool peice of memorabillia, but I can assure you that it is not worth $300.00. My copy was sent to the Nolan Ryan Foundation to get signed by Nolan Ryan and comes with a COA and it isnt even worth $300.00. I saw one sell on ebay about a week ago for $65.00. If someone offered you $300.00 for this and you didn't sell it then you might want to reconsider.
i own 10 Nolan Ryan baseball cards i found in a hope chest i have no idea what im looking at they say Texas Express with the number27 on the back top left corner and the word Pacific on the bottom left corner they all have autherized by Nolan Ryan at the bottom in these cards he is in many different uniforms theres even one with a black and white photo of him as a baby can anyone give me any idea where to look to find any info on them i have no idea what the #s on them mean please help
Darrell I have the same poster. You ever find anything else about it? Its really got me puzzled. lol.
I have a poster
This poster and cards I have were a weekly give-away promotion in grocery store in Texas. (I don't recall which grocery store) My sister lives in Dallas and each week she would get a new strip of cards to put on the poster. The poster was given out in week one. I have the poster and the complete set of cards unattached to the poster.
The grocery store was Minyards. There use to be quite a few of those stores around the Dallas Texas area. I don't know so much any more. I have 2 of these posters and didn't pay more than $50 for either one of them. If someone offers you $300 for it, I would take it. I would say, responding to the previous post, that you have "the complete set of cards unattached to the poster". I am surprised. I have never heard of that. The cards were stickers, and most people immediately stuck them on their poster when they came out. I think new stickers came out every month for like a year or so. I can't remember exactly. Anyway, Nolan Ryan is my favorite baseball player. If it were me, I would just hang on to the poster.
I recently came acrosss my ryan 26 express poster. Im from a small town 20 miles south of san antonio. The supermarket then was Super S Foods. I remember every week bugging them for new sheets. Mine is a little torn n beat up but complete. I have no use and am going to sell it. Hopefully to a die hard fan who appreciates
I have several of the strips of stickers, weeks 2 through 10. It is not a complete set as it is (I assume) missing week 1, unless week one was just the poster? I do not have the poster but would love to trade some stickers for the poster if anyone is interested or knows of a good forum for that type of transaction.
I have 4 complete posters. Stickers on all of them. I had put 3 posters and stickers on tubes that were air tight. I finally installed all stickers on all, 3 months ago. Then I framed all 4. I also have the same as stickers topps cards and graded on 1 of the posters. Waiting for PSA to return the rookie (1968), 1969 and 1972 cards graded to me. I know if a gentleman that bought a poster for $1000 and sold it for $12,000. I am proud of my Nolan Ryan graded card collection. Some of cards are very pricey.
