I found this painting in the early 1970's at a garage sale,liked it a lot,thought it was a photo and for several years it hung on my wall.One day I open the frame up and found it was a painting.I looked up the artist name and how to contact him.
This is what Mr. Frooman had to say when he wrote back to me in Aug.2007.
"That certainly is one of my paintings. I was 24 years old when I did this painting. It was inspired from a scene on the Italion Riviera, when I was there on a travelling fellowship awared to me upon graduating from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago."
Mr. Frooman is a professional artist covers a wide range of experience,including Fineart,illustration,and portrait painting. He is also a teacher and is able to pass these skills on to a new generation of students. Some of you may have seen his work in Playboy over the years.
Love that you have the history on this painting ! And was able to find artist and get his story on it . Great find !
Thank you Manikin for your comment.So many of the artworks that I have found have very little history.I am finding more and more good folks on here will share information about an artwork or a peace with me.
