I think these are slag glass, i'm not sure. Can anyone give me any info on them. They are all white with 6 flat panels on the shade and the base is very heavy, maybe metal? 1st picture show lamp not lite up 2nd picture lamp is lite up. Can anyone help me with any info or what they maybe worth. Thank You.
Slag glass lamps were made by literally hundreds of manufacturers. If it is not signed, it is nearly impossible to identify unless you can find it in an original catalogue or an attribution at auction. These type of lamps are still being made by companies overseas, mainly China and can fool some of the best. If yours is old, ca 1910, it appears to have been painted: it probably would have had a aged metallic patina. The glass also appears to be of a recent make and may be replacements. In original condition, if old, your lamp would sell at auction for $250.00-$350.00. Painted and with new glass, $150.00-250.00. I hope this helps.
Thank you so much JohannB for the information. I think these lamps are not old and I do not see anywhere it being signed then again it has felt on the bottom of the lamps. What ever the are worth I really do love these lamps regardless. I paid $50.00 for the pair so I'm happy. Thank again for your help. Pam
