Very heavy! The top comes off and you could put nuts or after-Thanksgiving dinner mints inside. Has an amberina color on the tail feathers. Price tag on bottom says 28.00. May not be vintage?

It isn't vintage. It was made by L. E. Smith Co. and sold by Williams and Sonoma. If you still have them I would be interested in buying, as I broke two of my ruby/cranberry colored turkeys when I moved. They were also sold in a clear, amber, and amberina colors. L. E. Smith still sells the amber and now sells a milk green color - very pretty.
