We recently found this Victorian cabinet. It is about 3' tall and 1.5' wide. We have no clue as to it's original purpose. The stretched spring in the lid every 2.5" has us puzzled as to it's intended purpose. Any help>

      Victrola Cabinet?
    2. ggmsmolly2, 13 years ago
It's not a Victrola cabinet nor sheet music cabinet. It is probably Eastlake 1836 to 1906 or slightly before. It's use, unknown

EastLake was 1870 to 1890. It's not Eastlake. Looks much earlier.
