Hi Joanne, It appears that may have a Seth Thomas electric Alarm clock called the "ECHO No. 3E" from circa 1953. It is described as: Self-starting electric alarm movement. Walnut case with mahogany ends slightly shaded. Clock has alarm set dial at back and is equipped with current interruption indicator (the little red dot) also reset from back. Height, 5 inches. Width, 5 1/2 inces. Dial, 3 1/8 inches. Tran Duy Ly appraised it at $40 in 2005. If you do an eBay search on "Seth Thomas Echo" for completed listings you'll see that they have recently sold approximately for anywhere between $10 - $70. Mystery Solved? :)
