This was given to my Mother many many years ago, in the 60's, from a friend who traveled to Europe. I think is 12k, but the stamps are so small. Thanks for any info, Joanne

Very pretty nurses watch, very collectable. The style of the piece and the face of the watch looks like it was from around the 40's or 50's, especially that center 'stone'. Most of these were either gold filled, or rolled gold, and generally accompanied with a 1/20 or some other percentage mark followed by the KT mark. It looks like the movement isn't accessible from the back; can you flip it out from the front, or twist off the crystal face and gently pull the movement out? The style of the face matches the style of the watch, so if you can find out about the movement, it should give you some insight on the entire piece.
12KT was produced up until 1932 in Britain, if you can confirm that hallmark. Although, the 'incabloc' on the face of it indicates a shock protection system in the pocket watch that wasn't invented until 1934, so that might thwart the 12KT theory (although not every jeweller followed the rules).

wish I could find some info on the name Taylor; Swiss movement were commonly imported and used by North American designers, who is probably the Taylor. Hopefully you get some more info if you can get out the movement safely; if it is gold filled or costume, you could still put 50-100$ on it for its collectable value. People are really coming back around to pocket watches and the ladies pocket watches.
