1907 Trade Card Repro - Public Service Announcement!

Just another boring ol' night in mid-Michigan. Purchased a sweet 1907 "Metamorphic" Trade Card for $210 on a buy it now, bragged it up to TGBWC, who responded, "Hmmm, that water stain on the back looks sorta... familiar!" It took me all of 2 minutes searching the 'net to find history on sale of an identical REPRODUCTION! Ouch. Kudos to Ray for the Total Recall. Canceled the transaction and am awaiting a full refund. Thought you'd like to see the side by side comparison so you can learn from my mistake (mine on the left, next to a repro that sold for $300 earlier this year - let's hope that buyer knows he didn't purchase an original).

It's not all champagne and roses, folks! Glad we got good guys on our side like Ray and Blaine.
