I'm guessing this is the Johnson's Wax company still in business today, but can't seem to figure out what this was used for. It's very heavy and almost a foot long with two metal points on the underside.

This is a part of a floor polishing tool. You would have a buffing piece on the bottom, and a long handle would attach to the two ears on top. You would push back and fourth like a mop, to polish out the Johnson floor wax. Before electric buffers. The weight of the cast iron saved you from having to apply preasure while buffing out the wax.
