Pic 1 Three Machetes.Pic 2 Non military Dissiton dated 1943 purchased from a retired surveyor. Seller Worked for Government during WW2
Pic 3 un-marked Machete probably Latin American with the pointed end. Has the lets like a fighting knife and handles like the others but may have been used in cutting brush or cane.
Pic 4 attempts to show Collins Logo of a fist extending from crown and holding a hammer in striking position. Marked USN MK 2 and dated 1915 Collins & Co. with another name which is illegable. Other markings & date clear but does not picture well.
Collins which made most of the military machetes was founded in 1827 and sold first machetes in 1845. Many early machetes had bone handles. Believe the handles on these are all wood. Machetes were considered the ultimate survival tool in WWI. Thanks and enjoy.
