This chase lounge belonged to my grandfather who died 60 years ago. Can anyone tell me anything about it?
    Thanks in advance..

What you have is commonly refered to as a "Fainting Couch", frame from the Golden Oak period (1880's - 1920's). Hopefully whoever stripped it down, saved the original springs and Horsehair stuffing for future restoration.

Thnaks for the info.. There is only one spring left and the horse hair needed to go. You have been quite helpful and I thank you. Any idea where this chase lounge was made? Can you tell me why they used horse hair?
