Another treasure unearthed while seaching in my dungeon.
British salt glazed hunting / harvest beaker with sterling silver rim the pottery is unmarked but doulton a likely candidate for maker. The Silver is by Edward Charles Brown of London and has the date mark for 1873.

I probably paid only a dollar or two ... not to sure what it's worth today probably only $100 or so...

I's a beaker like a glass meant for drinking ale or cider ..mead?? from... something to toast the Hunt or harvest.

The horses and reindeer jumping along the lower part of the cup are just enchanting. I have a dungeon, too, it was my grandparent's estate boxes which took 390 years to open. I did not know they were Collector's. and was shacked when I was pulling out famous painter's paintings and glassworks and dolls, etc. Not all of it is worth tons of money, at least not in this current art market, but for me, it's all like presents raining down from the sky!! I thought the boxes were paperwork, maybe purses, etc., I had no idea, but I didn't know them when they were young and collecting art! My Dungeon keeps putting forth great treasures, and also a lot of less valuable, but sentimental stuff! Thanks for posting your "dungeon" finds, your taste is exquisite, Mich

p.s. That's the boxes took 30 years to open, not 390 years, Freudian slip, it seemed like I paid that storage for an eternity...
