looks like a mid-century Moss lamp - don't know much about the company though...

I grew up with a similar lamp. It had a clock on the base...beautiful! The shade was metal and made like a venetian blind. Somehow through the years it was lost. This was in the mid 60's.

Hunter is right about Mid-Century, but off on the Moss Lamp.Moss Lamp Co. Made mid-century lamps using primarily Lucite, and incorporating Ceramic Figures made by 50's ceramic's studios. Your lamp is difinitely mid-century, circa 1950's, probably made by the Continental Lamp co. It is made of chalkware (plaster) in a Island motiff. It retains it original finish and venitian blind shade. It a very beautiful lamp if you are into Mid- Century design.

I love the lampshade! It's probably aluminum, and dating from the 50's.

I have one that has a pink flamingo theme complete with matching plastic shrubbery. :)
