    What IS this object ?
    10" H 6"ball diameter 4.5" base diameter
Controlled bubbles spiral from the bottom of the ball through the top starting with a pinhead size to a max 3/8" to narrow and elongated through the top lip. Base was attached and its bottom ground smooth and polished.

Is it a candle light, does it have some practical purpose, or is it simply a demonstration of a glass blower's extreme skill ?

A vase. Probably from the 1920's - 1930's. It looks a lot like Murano. The foot looks a bit heavy for Cappellin. It would be nice to see some more pictures!

      Re: more pictures
Sure thing. Are there some particular things you want to see ? The bottom, the lip, or just closer ?

      All three!

More pictures. I replaced the original with a closer one, but if you want that one back I will do that. The hole in the top is about 3/4".

      Many thanks for them DorothyO!
From them I'd say it's not Murano.
Perhaps others will be able to give an attribution.

Thanks very much, vetraio50. For decades I haven't had any idea what I'm dealing with and this helps a lot !

Wow ! Thanks so very much, Dean, for all this info ! Can you give me an idea of when this sort of thing was produced ?

Thank you so very much, Dean. This makes sense with how I was given this (by my mother) in the early 1970s. We were both so amazed with the controlled bubbles. Many thanks for your expertize and time.
