Could anyone tell me a little information about this clock? I've had it a long time, it used to be my grandfathers. The ballast on the inside is gone, so it does not light, but the motor for the clock works great. Not to mention it's in really good shape. Wondering maybe what it's worth and possible year it was made. It was made by Swihart.

    Thanks!

1950's. I have one very similar, you can check it out by following the link to my account listings. In excellent condition and working order, these are currently going for right around $400-$500 on eBay. Yours having such nice condition face/hands, and being an "in Bottles" version, I wouldn't be surprised if it brought close to that much even though it doesn't light up. It's a dandy clock, thanks for sharing.

Ah, and I thought I'd slip that in there and nobody'd notice.

Dandelion, Here's a current eBay auction for a clock by same company from same period as yours, same basic type. The pics might help you if you want to restore the ballast.
